Chick Peas Spread

Ingredients needed are: Chick peas, Spinach, Cilantro, Green chillis, Lemon juice, salt and oil(any kind).




Soak the chick peas overnight if possible, if not soak it for about 4 to 5 hrs and cook it in the pressure cooker until soft, or you can use the canned peas.
Drain the water from the cooked chick peas and add it to the blender, if you are using canned peas rinse it twice or thrice to get rid of the salt.



Add the remaining ingredients, and grind it to a paste, adjust the spice level according to your preference and add water to desired consistency, you can add green kale, purple kale or baby arugula instead of spinach.




You can enjoy it with tortilla, chapathi, naan or any kind of bread, or you can simply make a sandwich out of it.
