FISH CAKE

Ingredients Needed: Any kind of fish, ginger garlic paste, green chillis, potatoes, onions,turmeric, egg and bread crumbs.




Saute the onions, ginger garlic paste and green chillis till it looks something like this.



Microwave the fish for 1 or 2 mins depends on your microwave till its cooked completely, if you are not a fan of using microwave, yes of course you can poach it or bake it, but trust me it just took me exactly 1 min to get it cooked, easy and quick. Add 2 small boiled potatoes to it and mash it. I took just 2 if you want you can add more but should make sure potatoes doesn't dominate the fish.

 




Mash it up till it becomes like this and there should be no lumps.












    Add the sauted part and add some turmeric and pepper if required and it's time to check for salt, don't worry you can eat it there is nothing raw in it, and mix it up well.






                       

Heat up the griddle to 300 or 350* C, of course you can cook it on stove top, In the mean time shape up the mixture into whatever shape you are comfortable with.

                       

Beat the egg well and dip the cakes into it and coat it up with the bread crumbs.


                       

Spray them with oil and cook on each side for about 3 to 5 mins [ if you cook it on stove top it cooks faster than this so keep an eye else it will burn quickly] or till the color turns like this.
